Privacy Policy

QuietSub ("we", "our", or "the app") is operated by DJUMP, MB. This Privacy Policy explains what information the QuietSub mobile app and the website quietsub.app collect, how we use it, which service providers process it on our behalf, and how you can delete it.
1. Information We Collect
QuietSub works from the subscriptions you type in yourself. The table below lists what the app stores about you and why.

Your in-app preferences — language, theme, display currency, default reminder lead time and whether notifications are on — are stored on your device.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect payment card details. Purchases of QuietSub Premium are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); RevenueCat only tells us whether your Premium access is active.
- We do not connect to your bank, card or any financial institution. QuietSub works only with the subscription details you enter by hand.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or advertising identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core features: storing your subscriptions and calculating your monthly and yearly spending, category breakdowns and spending trends
- To schedule renewal and trial reminders on your device (only if you allow notifications)
- To sign you in and keep your data in sync across devices when you have an account
- To check whether you have QuietSub Premium
- To diagnose crashes and errors (Sentry)
- To understand how the app is used and to improve it (PostHog)
- To answer the messages you send us
4. Data Storage, Retention and Security
Your account and subscription data are stored in a Supabase database protected by row-level security (RLS), which means each user can read and change only their own records. All traffic between the app, the website and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS.
We keep your data for as long as you have an account — including an anonymous one — or until you delete it. Deleting a subscription also deletes its price history; deleting your account removes everything described in section 7.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers listed in section 5, which process it on our behalf so that the app and the website can run.
5. Third-Party Services
These providers process data for us. Each one receives only what it needs for the job described here.
- Supabase — authentication and the database that stores your account and subscription data (sections 1 and 4).
- Apple and Google — optional Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google. When you use them, Apple or Google passes your email address (and, for Google, your name) to us. They also process all Premium payments through the App Store and Google Play.
- RevenueCat — verifies Premium purchases. It receives your account ID and the purchase receipt from Apple or Google, and tells the app whether Premium is active. We never receive your card details.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting. When the app crashes or an operation fails, a report is sent containing the error message and stack trace, your device model, operating system version, app version and technical details of the operation that failed; the app also reports session starts so that we can measure crash-free rates. We do not attach your email address or name to these reports.
- PostHog (EU region) — product analytics. Events are linked to your account ID and, once you have an account, to your email address; they are not anonymous. They record which screens you open and actions such as adding, editing or deleting a subscription (including the name, category, billing cycle and price of a subscription you add), changing the theme or language, viewing the paywall and starting or restoring a purchase, together with your device type, operating system, app version and language.
- Expo (EAS) — delivers app updates: on launch the app checks Expo's servers for a newer version of its code. If you allow notifications, the app may also register your device with Expo's push service to obtain the notification token described in section 1; no notifications are currently sent through it.
- Vercel — hosts quietsub.app and the contact-form endpoint, and provides cookieless, page-view-only website analytics.
- Resend — delivers the messages you send through the website contact form to our mailbox (section 6).
Some of these providers are based in the United States and may process data there; PostHog is configured to use its EU region. Each provider's own privacy policy describes the safeguards it applies to international transfers.
6. Website Contact Form
If you write to us through the form on quietsub.app, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, together with your IP address. All of this is delivered to our mailbox as a single email through Resend. The IP address is included in that email so that we can recognise spam and abuse; we do not store it in any database. The form also applies a short-lived, in-memory rate limit per IP address to deter spam. We keep your message for as long as we need it to answer you.
7. Your Rights and Deleting Your Data
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time by emailing support@quietsub.app. If you are in the EU or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. QuietSub Premium includes a CSV export of your subscriptions from within the app.
To delete everything yourself: in the app, open the Profile tab, then Settings, then Delete Account. This immediately and permanently removes every subscription, trial detail and price-history record you stored in QuietSub. If you have already uninstalled the app, follow the steps at https://quietsub.app/delete-account or email us.
Your sign-in account itself is held in an authentication system that DJUMP, MB also uses for its other apps. When you delete your QuietSub data, that account — email address, display name and notification token — is deleted as well, unless you still have data in another DJUMP, MB app; in that case it remains until you delete your data in the last of those apps.
8. Children's Privacy
QuietSub is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
